Human Resources Support for Employers
Baltimore area employers benefit from MOED’s employer services, which include:
- No-cost job posting, outreach, and recruitment
- Prescreening and assessment of applicants
- Tax credit information
- Job fairs and on-site recruitment
- Access to labor market information
- Training for new employees
Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE)
The Maryland Department of Labor manages the Maryland Workforce Exchange (MWE), an online database designed to match employers with job seekers. Employers, both local and national, can use the database to post employment opportunities and search for applicants by skillset or position. The MWE also provides guidance, training, and technical assistance to employers and local job market information. All employers must register in the Maryland Workforce Exchange to post jobs or use MOED's recruitment services. Employers already registered in the MWE that have forgotten their log-in information, may contact the Assistance Center. For additional guidance on how to use the MWD, employers may refer to the MWE Employer Quick Reference Guide.

YouthWorks
YouthWorks is Baltimore City's nationally recognized summer jobs program. It provides an opportunity for Baltimore employers to help shape the future workforce by interviewing and hiring responsible, motivated, and engaging youth and young adults. Job-ready youth are available for summer and year-round positions. Employers may choose to make Baltimore City the employer-of-record.
