Public Notice: Request for Proposals - Train Up: Occupational Skills Training
Thursday Sep 9th, 2021
The Baltimore City Mayor's Office of Employment Development seeks responses to a Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide occupational training to Baltimore city residents. This initiative is one part of Baltimore’s Economic Recovery Plan. Once awarded, contractors will be expected to provide skills training to residents in one of Baltimore’s targeted industries. The training should lead to an occupational credential and a job paying at least $15/hour. The Board expects to release several other RFPs including initiatives aimed to improve adult literacy and connect residents to workforce services more broadly. There will be other supports in place for residents including legal assistance, behavioral health counseling, transportation assistance, and financial empowerment development. The RFP was released on September 9, 2021 and can be viewed on the website of the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development (MOED) at moed.oedworks.gov . All correspondence including a request to receive the RFP directly should be directed to scooper-mckoy@oedworks.com. A pre-bidders conference will be held on September 17, 2021 at 3 pm via Zoom: https://lnkd.in/d8-VVZPY.
Bidders may submit a letter of intent to submit a proposal to scooper-mckoy@oedworks.com by September 27, 2021. The Letter of Intent is not mandatory, but is suggested to ensure that communication regarding questions and answers is provided.
All proposals must be received electronically by October 8, 2021 at 4pm EST and directed to scooper-mckoy@oedworks.com.
